Ranking Poll Administration
Create a New Ranking Poll | Administrate Ranking Poll | Recalculate Ranking Scores Custom Tag Information
The idea behind this module is to allow users to assign a ranking value to article, gallery and shop items. This can
be used to give feed back on products and services so people can learn from previous customers. Click on "Ranking
Poll Administration" in "Admin Suite" and you will be taken to the window shown below.

The first option on this page is "Create a New Ranking Poll". If you click on this, you will be taken to the window
shown below.
Create a New Ranking Poll

From this window you can begin the process of creating a new ranking poll. The first thing you should do is type the
question you want the poll to ask. Next, you have the option of selecting a member level to be a "Judge". If you use
this option, to tallies will be calculated, one public and one official (by judges); judges can only vote once per poll.
Then you want to choose the section that this poll will pertain to. When you have completed these three steps, click
"Submit". This will direct you to a new window in which you select the specific category to which the poll pertains or
you can choose to apply the poll to every category in this section.
After you have clicked on a category, you will be taken to a new window shown below.

From this window you add the option range to your ranking poll. For each possible option you have to specify the "Value",
which will be used to calculate the average, the "Label", which will tell the user in a word or two what a value means
(ie 1=worst, 10=best) and the "Sort", which is an integer that specifies the order the options are displayed (shown in
ascending order of "Sort" integer). When you have finished filling in these three text fields for an option, click "Submit"
to add it to the list. If at anytime you decide you don't want one of the options you have created, you can click on the
"Remove" button to the right of that option.
Once you have added all the options for your ranking poll, click on the "Finished" button at the bottom of the window.
This will take you to window confirming that your poll is now active. Click on "Ranking Poll" to return to "Ranking Poll
Administration".

The next option from this menu is "Administrate Ranking Poll", which clicking on will direct you to the window shown below.
Administrate Ranking Poll

This window shows you a list of the ranking polls that exist currently on your site. "Ranking Question" is the original
question that you entered when you created the poll, "Section" is the section it pertains to, "Category" is the specific
category it pertains to (if blank, pertains to the whole section), and "Judge Level" is the member level that is judging this
poll (if there is one). The status of a ranking poll is indicated by a highlighted checkmark if it is approved, a highlighted
x-mark if it is rejected and a highlighted question mark if it is pending. To switch between the
three states you can click on one of the darkened two buttons. Keep in mind that a ranking poll must be approved to appear
on the front-end of your site.
Finally, if you decide you no longer want a poll you can remove it by clicking on the "Delete" button to the far right of
the poll listing. When you are done editing the ranking polls, click on "Ranking Poll".

in the event that one or several of these averages were to become corrupt or lost, you can recalculate them from the
existing voting data by clicking "Re-Calculate Score" on the appropriate instance of the poll. This page also lists
