Jobs Administration
Submit and Upload Jobs | Job Moderation | Administrate Pages | Submission Permissions
The idea behind this module is to create an area on your website that people can post job listings. Click on "Jobs
Administration" in "Admin Suite" and you will be taken to the window shown
below.

The first option is "Submit and Upload Jobs". Click on it to be taken to the window shown below.
Submit and Upload Jobs

From this window, you can submit new jobs to be displayed on your site. The first thing you have
to do is enter in the e-mail and password of a submitter account. If you don't have one already then you will have to
create one.
Next you have to fill in the "Jobs Details" section. "Jobs Title" should be something like the company name and position
of the job. "Jobs Leadin" should be a short (one line) description of the job (something to catch the eye) and "Job Content"
should be a longer description that gives all the details of the job that you want someone to know.
Finally, if you are familiar with HTML you can select "Yes" for the "Allow HTML" option. This allows you
to enter HTML code in this page’s text fields. If you don't want to put in HTML then select "No" and your
text will be properly formatted.
When you are finished filling in all the text fields, you can click "Preview" and a pop-up window will appear to show
you what your job listing will look like on the site. If you are happy with the way it looks, click on "Submit". If
however you don't like the way the job posting looks, you can either make changes to the text fields or click on
"Reset" to empty all the text fields and start over.
Once you are done, don't forget to click "Submit"!!! Click on "Jobs" in the top left to return to the "Jobs
Administration" menu.

The next option is "Job Moderation", which when clicked on will direct you to the window shown
below.
Job Moderation

The first option is a pull-down list that allows you to specify which job postings you want to view based on there
approval status.
Next there is a list of all the jobs that meet the requirements you have made in the pull-down list. "Title" is the
title that you entered when you created the job. "Submitter" is the member that posted the job and "Time Submitted"
is as it would imply. The status of a job is indicated by a highlighted checkmark if it is approved, a highlighted
x-mark if it is rejected and a highlighted question mark if it is pending. To switch between the
three states you can click on one of the darkened two buttons. Keep in mind that a job must be approved to appear on the
front-end of your site.
If you would like to edit a job posting you can do so by clicking the appropriate "Edit" button to
the right of the job listing. This will take you to the window shown bellow.

From here you can edit all the same information you originally entered in the "Submit and Upload Jobs" window. You can
also change the approval status by choosing another status from the "Reject/Approve" pull-down list. Once you are done,
don't forget to click "Submit"!!! Click on "Admin Jobs" in the top left to return to the "Jobs Moderation" menu.
Finally if you would like to remove any of the listed jobs you can do so by clicking the "Delete" button to the far right
of the job listing. When you are done click on "Jobs" in the upper left of the window.

The next option in "Jobs Administration" is "Administrate Pages". Click on it and you will be taken the window shown
bellow.
Administrate Pages

The idea behind this window is to make changes to the format of the job posting pages. If you need
to make any changes, click on the appropriate "Edit" button, which will take you to the window shown below.

The two options (page name and title image) are for naming your page and you should choose one of them.
If you prefer to have an image for the title instead of the text for the page, you can click on the "Browse"
button and choose an image from your hard drive.
Note that a title image replaces the Page Name in the page content, but not on the window title.
Next you need to type your "Meta tags".
What is a Meta Tag?
"Area Content" is the next option. This is the basic text that appears in the page you have selected.
Finally, if you are familiar with HTML you can select "Yes" for the "Allow HTML" option. This allows you
to enter HTML code in this page’s text fields. If you don't want to put in HTML then select "No" and your
text will be properly formatted.
When you entered all your information, don't forget to click
"Submit"!!!!!
Once you are done changing the page setup you can either click on "Page List" to edit the page setup
of the other pages in this module or you can click on "Jobs" to return to the main jobs administration
menu.

The next option is "Submission Permissions". Click on it and you will be directed to the window
shown below.
Submission Permissions

For this window a highlighted checkmark represents yes and a highlighted x-mark
represents no.
The first option is "Allow Visitor Jobs Submission", which if set to yes allows users to submit jobs. If this
is set to no, then jobs can only be added from the back-end of the site. The next option is "Auto Approve Jobs
Submissions", which if on automatically sets all submitted jobs postings to approved instead of pending.
The last two options on this page allow you to be notified via e-mail when someone submits a new jobs posting. If you
would like to be notified, then select yes for "Email Notification of Jobs Submissions" and put the e-mail address
you would like the notification to go to in the text field below that. If you enter an e-mail address, don't forget to
click "Submit"!!!
Click on "Admin Suite" when you are done with "Jobs Administration".
