File Extension - The letters after the "." in the name of a file, which indicates what type of file it is, ie."Stuff.txt" - the .txt indicates that the Stuff file is a text file. When renaming a file, be careful to not change the file extension.

Flash Movie - Flash, a popular authoring software developed by Macromedia, is used to create vector graphics-based animation programs with full-screen navigation interfaces, graphic illustrations, and simple interactivity in an antialiased, resizable file format that is small enough to stream across a normal modem connection.  It is basically a short, animated movie.

Form - A way of collecting information from users by having them answer a set of questions that are then sent to you when the user clicks the "Send" button.

Hits - The number of requests to the server. It is used to get an overview of how your server performs. In essence, I believe that it records the number of files that are actually accessed. Plus, the uses has to stay on the site for at least five minutes in order to be recorded as a hit.

Hyperlink - A reference (link) from some point in one hypertext document to (some point in) another document or another place in the same document. Multiselect List - This appears as a multiline version of a dropdown list. This should be used to specify multiple values in a list (ie Things I Collect: stamps/comics/sandicast dogs). The possible values will be added after creation. When using a multiselect list, to select more than one value you must click on one, then each time you want to select another value in addition to it you must hold down your "Ctrl" ("Shift" on a Mac) key and click on the new value you'd like to add. Most people that use the internet are not very familiar with this multiselect list usage, as a result we suggest against it's use, substituting a series of checkboxes instead.

Visits - Our stats program tries to summarize the hits by one person to a VISIT. This is quite a tricky process, because you don't really know if it is a request from the same IP-address is coming from the same user (NAT, Proxies, ...).
